Description

Such error is raised in many cases, I’ll just provide a single one:

  • Create a State Machine diagram
  • Add two states and a transition between them
  • Enable label display of that transition (Symbol –> Show label)
  • Select label, and then hover mouse over border of that label so the cursor turns into move thing.
  • Try to drag the label

The dragging won’t succeed, internal error will be shown and label position will be reset.

java.lang.ClassCastException: org.modelio.diagram.editor.state.elements.transition.GmTransition cannot be cast to org.modelio.diagram.elements.core.node.GmCompositeNode

Almost the same thing happen with labels of other stuff, but not quite. For instance, if you try to drag cardinality label of association this way, the cursor will turn into “NO WAY” thing as soon as you start dragging. No internal error will be shown, but position will be still reset. Which is still weird, as move cursor suggests that you can drag, while in fact you can’t.
