Invisible thingies in interaction diagrams

You have two empty lifelines. You add a message from one to another. Three new elements appear on the diagram now: synchronous message itself, execution specification on the other side, and reply message.
Now, you delete these three new elements. However, there’s still something left on the diagram (as seen on the screenshot). These thingies are annoying, as they obstruct selection, and also lead to obscure errors like messages going back in time or something like that. At least you certainly can’t send a destruction message if one of those invisible things lies below on the lifeline.
They’re not safe to delete, either. They tend to cause deletion of associated execucion specifications and messages, if there’re any.
