Creating a property

The Property element declares a class property in the JavaBean sense.

An identifier can be transformed into a property by removing the “Identifier” property from it.

The following Property properties can be defined in the Hibernate tab:

  • Persistent Name:
Name of the SQL field to which the Property will be mapped. If this field remains empty, the name of the SQL field is considered to be identical to the name of the attribute.

  • Persistent Type :
The Hibernate type of the Property.

  • Unique Element:
Boolean : Indicates whether or not the Property is unique.

  • Not Null:
Boolean : Indicates whether or not the Property can be equal to null.

  • Generated:
Indicates that the value of this Property is generated by the database.
